Labyrinths

This project redefines the process of lacemaking as a labyrinth: a physical and temporal exploration of pattern-building in which concepts like chaos and order are experienced first-hand. As I execute my design, or "algorithm" as I think of it, I become a wanderer of my own systems. Repetition is everywhere, from the twists and crosses of the stitches to the rhythmic sounds of bobbins hitting the pillow.
