About me

I'm a self-taught lacemaker living in Paris, France who made her first piece of lace during the covid pandemic. I have since been fortunate to find groups of lacemakers both locally and abroad that have given me the tools and guidance needed to find my own path.

My work centers on system dynamics as experienced through the patterns and repetitions of the slow-paced art of lacemaking. I feel at various moments the weariness of chaos and the expectant thrill of patterns and symmetries. Lace is my medium for exploring the complexities and breakdowns in our ecological, political, and social structures.

I am also fascinated by the history and evolution of the craft and its materials like linen, and I take every opportunity to study the geometries and processes of traditional lace. As I continue to update this website, I hope to compile a resource guide for those interested in learning and reading more about bobbin lace.
